Enhanced energy saving for DX systems
GEA Denco Central Division have recently secured an order with our partners Secure IT Environments Ltd for an on-line Data Centre in Guernsey.
The order consists of 16 No GEA Denco downflow D54AV close control AHU's c/w 16 No GEA Denco DCRA 80-8 condensers for 2 new room fit outs.
The design brief was to match the systems in the previous 2 rooms but to enhance energy savings. This was achieved by fitting high quality EBM Papst direct drive fans with Electronically Commutated (EC) motors in the D54AV units, reducing the energy required to move the cooled air around the Data Centre.
Larger DCRA 80-8 external condensers with 8 pole fans have been used to reject the heat to atmosphere. These fans use less energy and importantly are very quiet as the site is close to residential houses.
The compressors fitted utilise GEA Dencos' VRF energy saving technology giving a compressor COP (Coefficient of Performance) of 5.0, further enhancing energy savings.
Pictures on the roof of the 2 storey Data Centre show the high quality external installation done by GEA Dencos' Central Division contract team on the previous phase.
